PROJECT SCOPE
Six project phases to be executed during five years:
- Phase 1: Development of fast pyrolysis process for lignocellulosic biomass on a laboratory scale
- Phase 2: Conversion of the BIO2C Gasification Unit so that it can operate in pyrolysis mode
- Phase 3: Upgrading of the pyrolysis oil obtained from lignocellulosic biomass
- Phase 4: Development of the pyrolysis process on a demo scale
- Phase 5: Upgrading of pyrolysis oils obtained from lignocellulosic biomass on a pilot scale
- Phase 6: Techno-economic and environmental validation of the process
