PROJECT SCOPE

Development of a control system for biomass and heterogeneous wastes feeding, for its implementation in biomass boilers and other valorization processes, more robust, reliable, precise and stable than the current:

  • Optimum plant operation with an adequate regulation of the flow fed
  • Ensure feeding system reliability
  • Develop a solids flow model
  • Implement a logic control of the feeding system by adaptive control principles

CENER ROLE

  • Project leader and activities coordinator
  • Critical review of existing problems
  • Demonstration feeding tests in the 2MWt bubbling fluid bed gasifier located in the BIO2C
  • Solids flow model development
  • Implementation of a new adaptive control system
  • Integration and validation of the new control algorithm in long-term tests
